Goldilocks

Goldilocks begins with a familiar but subjective question: what weather would we choose to live in? Visitors compose an answer by adjusting seven conditions—temperature, humidity, wind speed, cloud cover, visibility, rainfall, and snowfall—on a touchpad.

The installation continuously reads the weather at its location. That live state occupies the central sphere; each submitted preference becomes a smaller sphere in orbit. Its distance from the center is calculated from the difference between the two seven-part weather profiles, turning personal choices into a spatial relationship with the present atmosphere.

As more responses accumulate, they form a collective climatic Goldilocks zone: not a fixed scientific optimum, but a shifting record of what a group considers livable or 'just right.' The work places measured conditions beside memory, comfort, and desire, making the gap between the climate we inhabit and the climate we imagine directly visible.
