Weather is part of everyday conversation. We talk about heat, rain, wind, and strange seasonal changes almost without thinking. It is a familiar way of sensing the world and connecting with others. Climate change, however, feels distant, overwhelming, and difficult to relate to personal experience, while the data that describes it often remains abstract.

GOLDILOCKS asks whether climate data can be brought closer to everyday life. Visitors create their own weather by adjusting seven meteorological elements: temperature, humidity, wind speed, cloud cover, visibility, rainfall, and snowfall. They then encounter the weather created by others, allowing individual feelings, memories, and desires to gather within the work as data.

These collected weathers are arranged in relation to Seoul’s real-time meteorological data. As they accumulate, they reveal a collective climatic Goldilocks zone: a shared sense of weather that feels desirable, livable, or “just right.” By making visible the distance between this imagined climate and the climate we actually inhabit, GOLDILOCKS gathers small voices facing the same planetary crisis and suggests the possibility of hope, care, and collective imagination.
